Unilag Foundation (JUPEB) Programme


Unilag Foundation/JUPEB Programme is a direct entry programme that leads to the award of Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB) Certificate, which enables candidates to gain Direct Entry admission into 200 level Departments in Unilag, and other Universities in Nigeria and abroad like the University of Bedfordshire, University of Central Lancashire, University of the West of England, De Montfront University Leicester, University of Birmingham, UK and Soochow University, China among others.

Candidates who successfully complete the programme can also be admitted into JUPEB affiliated institutions such as UNIBEN, OAU, FUPRE, UNN, UNIUYO, FUTA, FUNAAB, etc.

The Joint Universities Preliminary Examination Board (JUPEB) certificate is equivalent to the Advance Level General Certificate of Education (GCE), Higher School Certificate (HSC) or Interim Joint Matriculation Board (IJMB). 

FEATURES OF THE PROGRAMME 
Candidates are required to write or sit for an examination in order to gain admission into Unilag Foundation (JUPEB) programme.

Candidate must possess a minimum of 5 credit passes in at least five (5) subjects at O’ Level, including English Language and Mathematics at not more than 2 sittings in the GCE, SSCE, WAEC, NECO, NABTEB.

Please note that the programme does not currently have facilities for the visually impaired and is strictly a non-residential programme.
The School of Foundation Studies will provide an intensive one-year programme, teaching subjects in line with the JUPEB Syllabus.
