1. B. Sc. (Ed) G & C (Biology)

(A) Admission Requirements for Four-Year Full-Time Degree Programme (UTME)

Candidate should possess five credit passes at SSCE, GCE, NECO in not more than 2 sittings, including English Language, Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry and any other Science subject in addition to the UTME and PUTME requirements.  Note:  The Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) Subjects are: Use of English, Mathematics, Biology and Chemistry or Physics

(B) Admission Requirements for Three-Year Full-Time Degree Programme (DE)

In addition to the Matriculation Requirements, (1 (A) above) candidates should posses a minimum of merit in the relevant teaching subject(s) at the NCE or at least Credit Passes in not less than two subjects at the GCE „A‟ Level. A merit in the relevant subject at Diploma of the University of Benin is accepted.

2.    B. Sc. (Ed) G & C (Social Studies)

(A)     Admission Requirements for Four-Year Full-Time Degree Programme (UTME)

Candidates should possess five credit passes at SSCE O‟ Level, GCE, NECO in not more than two sittings including English Language, Mathematics and any three Social Science subjects, including UTME and PUTME requirements.  Note: The Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) subjects are: Use of English, Mathematics, Any two of Economics, Government and Geography.

(B)    Admission Requirements for Three-Year Full-Time degree Programme (DE)

In addition to the Matriculation Requirements, (2 (A) above), Candidates should possess a minimum of merit in the relevant teaching subject(s) at the NCE at least credit passes in not less than two subjects at the GCE „A‟ Level. A merit in the relevant subject at Diploma of the University of Benin is accepted.

i.        At least two merit level passes in the relevant subjects at the Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE).  In addition, candidate should possess five Ordinary Level Credit passes in WASSCE, WAEC/GCE, NECO, SSCE/GCE, NABTEB, NTC/NBC or any other recognized equivalent obtained at not more than two sittings. The „O‟ Level subjects or equivalents should include English Language and Mathematics and subjects relevant to the intended course of study.

ii.      At least a merit level pass in the University of Benin Diploma or Diploma in relevant courses from a recognized institution and five Ordinary Level Credit passes including English Language and Mathematics obtained at not more than two sittings. The subjects should be relevant to the intended course of study.

   iii.   At least two advanced Level passes in the General Certificate (GCE) or the Higher School Certificate (HSC) or any other recognized equivalent in the relevant subject areas and five Ordinary Level Credit passes in WASSCE, WAEC, GCE, NECO, SSCE/GCE, NABTEB, NTC/NBC or any other recognized equivalent obtained at not more than two sittings including English Language and Mathematics. The „0‟ Level subjects or equivalent should be relevant to the intended course of study.
